Understanding ACMPR – Top 5 Questions on Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations

What is ACMPR? Why we need to know this?
The full form of acmpr is access to cannabis for medical purpose regulations. This is needed to know when you are going to put your application to health Canada so that you would like to do marijuana production for only medical purposes. But before you submit an application to health Canada they want to know if you can implement all the things that one need to run.

Who can produce/ obtain medical marijuana?
Any individual or any company could produce marijuana and can obtain dried marijuana in the form of oil as well form a company who has authorized licensed form health Canada. Individual can produce very limited versions of marijuana or dried marijuana just by obtaining a license form health Canada. If it is company or organization then it requires obtaining commercial license form health Canada in order to produce on large scale basis.

How marijuana could be sold?
Marijuana must not be sold to unauthorized persons. Those patients have a bill, on which doctors have written or predicted marijuana for curable purposes. No one other than this should have any access to marijuana. You can sell, ship, transport of marijuana only for those purposes. If you are cannabis licensed producer then you can sell marijuana substance to another licensed producer, a licensed dealer or the minister or to a person to whom an exemption relating to the substance has been granted under section 56 of the Act. Any licensed producer may sell or provide fresh dried marijuana or cannabis oil to a client or that producer or an individual who is responsible for that client. He can sell to a hospital employee of that form or marijuana if the possession of the substance is for the purpose of and in connection with their employment. You can also sell a person to whom an exemption relating to the substance has been granted under section 56 of the Act and he can ship fresh or dried marijuana or cannabis oil to a health care practitioner.

Who can get license to produce marijuana?
To produce marijuana you must obtain a legal license form health Canada and to do that you must apply to health Canada with proper documents. In order to get approval from health Canada you must maintain some sort of terms, conditions and set of rules. You need to have proper infrastructure, office setup, Network facilities, and growing facilities , waste management system , installing security system , quality control management , plantation , good manufacturing practices , good production practices , record keeping of various day to day activities , employee management , preparing facility plans and drawings , budget analysis and hydro requirements and analysis  , general contractor oversights , equipment supply  , garden consulting  , how you design your grow room etc. Once you submit white papers on all these stuffs you will get approval from health Canada. Make sure that you could get rejected by health Canada if they think that you are not eligible for medical marijuana production.  What activities you can do with your marijuana?
The marijuana you are producing will only be used in medical purposes.  To do this you can sell, donate, ship, export marijuana to only medical purposes and only to those people who are authorized to use marijuana for medical purposes. This means a normal people who are not suggested marijuana by doctors could not ask you for marijuana sell and you also are not authorized to sell marijuana to him. The health Canada wants you to follow these rules strictly. Possess, produce, sell, provide, ship, deliver, transport and destroy marijuana or cannabis oil in its natural form. Other than marijuana or cannabis oil, for the purpose of producing cannabis oil, and sell, provide ship, deliver, transport and destroy that cannabis if it was obtained or produced for that purpose. If you are licensed cannabis producer you can sell cannabis to another licensed producer or a licensed dealer, or a person to whom an exemption relating to the substance has been granted under section 56 of the Act. While you are producing substances, you can ship, sell or producer cannabis to a person who is also a licensed producer or an authorized to buy marijuana for medical purposes. A licensed producer of dried marijuana or cannabis oil could sell to a client of that producer or an individual who is responsible for the client or a hospital employee, if the possession of the substance is for the purposes of and in connection with their employment or a person to whom an exemption relating to the substance has been granted under section 56 of the Act. A licensed producer must produce, package or label cannabis only indoors and at the producer’s site. A licensed producer must store cannabis only indoors and at the producer’s site.  A licensed producer must store cannabis, other than marijuana plants, in accordance with the Security Directive.
